Grain, Oilseed Crops Look Promising Near Poltava

UKRAINE - In Ukraine's Poltava region, USDA Foreign Agricultural Services (FAS) officials visited corn, oilseed, and wheat plots, and based on observations and conversations with local agronomists, they appear to be progressing well.

The fields in this part of the country seemes to have received enough rainfall to continue healthy growth.

Some fields looked like they were planted later in the season, so the plant development stages were lagging behind, but farmers did not express undo concern about this later start to the growing season.
