USDA Crop Progress - 6 November 2012
As of November 5, 2012, 95 per cent of US corn has been harvested across 18 states.
This is 24 per cent higher than the five-year average, despite tough growing conditions throughout the summer.
Nebraska, Ohio and Pennsylvania have harvested the least amount of corn, however these three states still surpass the five-year average.
93 per cent of soybeans have been harvested across 18 states, seven per cent more than the five-year average. Soybeans suffered less than corn throughout this summer's drought due to their ability to deal better with dry growing conditions.
All three "I" states managed to reach, if not surpass, the five-year growing average, with Illinois harvesting 96 per cent, Indiana sticking with the five-year average at 89 per cent and Iowa harvesting 99 per cent of soybeans.
