GB Animal Feed Statistical Notice - August 2013
Statistics on GB Animal Feed include data for the period June, July and August
with percentage changes for corresponding periods last year.
Key points:
- In August 2013 the total GB retail production of animal feed was up 3.1% compared with August 2012
- In August 2013 the total GB raw material usage in the retail production of animal feed was up 2.2% compared with August 2012
- In August 2013 the total GB integrated feed production was down -0.4% compared with August 2012
- For the period April to June 2013 quarterly average prices of animal feedingstuffs were the following:-
Cattle and calf feed - £253 per Tonne
Pig feed - £288 per Tonne
Poultry feed - £311 per Tonne
Sheep feed - £257 per Tonne
