In March 2012 compared with March 2011:
Wheat Usage:
- The total amount of wheat milled was 529 thousand tonnes, down 13%.
- The total amount of home grown wheat milled was 469 thousand tonnes, down 14%.
- The total amount of imported wheat milled was 60 thousand tonnes, down 6%.
- Brewers, maltsters and distillers total wheat usage was 62 thousand tonnes, up 13%.
Barley Usage:
- Brewers, maltsters and distillers total barley usage was 162 thousand tonnes, up 3%.

In January to March 2012 compared with January to March 2011:
