US corn emerged acres reached 92 per cent this week from 76 per cent last week. This weeks 92 per cent planted is a strong increase from the five year average of 69 per cent and 59 per cent a year ago.

Corn emergence is in the mid-high 90's for the three "I" states, with Iowa making a 14 per cent jump in the past week to 95 per cent. Indiana corn emergence is 36 per cent higher than it's 60 per cent 5-year average at 96 per cent.

The majority of corn appears to in a good condition, with 59 per cent of all corn across 18 states falling into the 'good' category and 13 per cent classed as 'excellent'. However, both these figures are slightly short of last weeks corn conditions, yet remain above the 5-year average.

Soybean planting made a 13 per cent jump this week across all 18 states, well above the 61 per cent 5-year average.

Soybean emergence made massive leaps across the majority of states, with North Dakota at 51 per cent, a huge 50 per cent increase from this time a year ago.

Illinois and Indiana soybean emergence is at 78 and 79 per cent respectively, a large increase from the 5-year average.
