UK Cereals Usage by Millers Brewers & Maltsters - August 2015

- Milling industry, starch and Bioethanol used 502 thousand tonnes of wheat in August 2015, down 5.1% on August 2014. Of this 426 thousand tonnes was home produced.
- Brewers, maltsters and distillers used 147 thousand tonnes of barley in August 2015, down 10% on August 2014.
- Brewers, maltsters and distillers used 64 thousand tonnes of wheat in August 2015, down 6% on August 2014.
- In the second month into the new crop year (2015/16) imported wheat milled has declined 52% on the August 2014.
