According to the latest USDA Crop Progress Report, corn conditions remain in a poor state, however the majority across 18 states appear mostly unchanged from last week.The latest Crop Progress report shows 23 per cent of the corn crop is in good or excellent condition, a 37 per cent decline from the same time a year ago.
Corn conditions continue to struggle in the three "I" states, with 20 per cent considered 'fair' in both Illinois and Indiana.
42 per cent of the corn was dented across 18 states, a 26 per cent increase on the five-year average.
78 per cent of the corn crop has doughing, compared to the five-year average of only 49 per cent.
Soybeans blooming jumped five per cent in the past week, to 97 per cent across 18 states.
There has been little change in soybean conditions through the last week, with 32 per cent still considered 'fair' and 26 per cent in good condition.
